Kigali, Rwanda, 1st April 2021. Rwanda Energy Group volleyball club head coach, Benon Mugisha has set the bar high for the 2019 League Champions at the 2021 African Club Championship.

“Our target is to go beyond quarter finals.” Said a buoyant Benon Mugisha

The team is holed up in a residential camp at Hilltop Hotel and conducts their training from Stade Petit in Kigali.

Rwandan International Olivier Ntagengwa and Ugandan International Ivan Ongom are some of the players headlining the preparations.

“Training is good, we are working on defense, speed, agility and power at the moment.” Mugisha added.

Meanwhile record Champions APR VC are also in camp for the Championship.

The Army side last appeared in the continental competition in 2015, they finished sixth in the tournament that took place in Sousse, Tunisia.

The prestigious championship will take place from April 16th to 28th 2021 in Sousse, Tunisia.
