Cairo, Egypt, November 22, 2019- African Volleyball Confederation “CAVB” President Dr Amr Elwani presided the Development Working Group Meeting in Cairo, Egypt on Friday in attendance of Vice Presidents Jean Claude Mopita, Badr Essouf, Zone 5 President Jostave, Zambia VB Fed President Agness Nakaonga, African Coaches Commission president sherif El Shemerly, Online Academy Director Mohamed Benhamida and CAVB Executive Director Howyda Mondy.
Elwani opened the meeting by welcoming the attendances and evaluated the importance of the meeting to guide for the FIVB Nucleus project in Africa, which marks the strategy of the NFs to develop their national teams 2020 to 2024.
The meeting also discussed CAVB courses proposed in 2020 and implementation of Management strategy.
Benhamida presented the Activities of the African academy and specially the continental Women caches course, which include 39 women coaches from 22 countries.
Elshmerly evaluated the work done by the coaches’ commission throughout the year to develop the sport across Africa.
Among other activities, the meeting discussed E- learning, the outcome of the Train of the trainers project, Live streaming and the progress of the third edition of CAVB Continental Cup
