Kampala, Uganda, November 19, 2020. Daudi Okello may have missed personally picking the 2019 USPA Volleyball player of the year award last night, but the Ugandan international was present through a video call.

Okello was Voted 2019 volleyball personality of the year alongside NUVC’s Grace Akiror. He was Awarded 3rd Round MVP of the Korean V-League 2019 with Cuweon Skywalkers. He was part of Uganda team that beat Rwanda in Nairobi in 2019 breaking the 15-years of Rwandan dominance over Uganda. And prior to that, he had become a house hold name in the Turkish Volleyball league.

“This award means a lot to me and encourages me and my management to work harder.” Said Okello who is currently playing for Skywalkers is Korea.

He is currently the 2nd highest scorer in the 2020 Korean Volleyball League with 231 in the first round.
