Rabat, Morocco, August 20, 2019- Egypt Men’s Beach volleyball team captured the gold medal of the 2019 All Africa Games after they beat rivals Kenya 2-0 (21-13, 21-15) in the final encounter at Sale beaches in Rabat, Morocco on Wednesday.

Egypt confirmed their leadership to African Beach volleyball at the women category, after they claim the African Cup of nations early this year.

Mozambique won the bronze medal after they beat Mauritius 2-0 (21-18, 21-14).

Meanwhile hosts Morocco, giants South Africa, dark horses Gambia and emerging Rwanda qualified to the Men’s competition final 4 to play the semifinals and finals on Wednesday. Morocco to play South Africa, while Gambia to meet Rwanda.

South African double of Goldschmidt/Williams overcame Nigeria’s Godwin/Anyasodike 2-0 (21-18, 21-12), while Morocco took on Angola 2-0 (21-14, 22-20). Rwanda shocked Ghana 2-0 (21-15, 21-12) and Gambia featured the biggest surprise as they beat the beach Games champions Mozambique 2-0 (21-18, 28-26).
