Kololi, The Gambia, November 23, 2019 – The CAVB continental cup beach volleyball qualifiers for Zone II enters day two with some thrilling encounters at Palma Rima beach on Saturday.
Host Gambia shined on the second day of the tournament with 2:0-win ratio against Guinea. Gambia team A beat Guinea B 2-0 (21-9, 21-9) to continue on their brilliant start in the qualifiers.
The Gambia team B of Amadou Jarju/Jahara Koita also emerge as 2-0 (21, 13, 21-15) winners against Guinea team A. Guinea fought in the second set to improved but the Gambian team denied them of a possible comeback.
Sierra Leone were dominant over Mali in fashion. The Salone team A overcame a strong Malian pair in a straight set win, 2-0 (21-16, 21-17). The Malians improved from day one but could not stop the number seven ranked team in Africa.
Sierra Leone team B also win big against Mali’s team A. The young Sierra Leonean side ran off to a 2-0 (21-8, 21-17) victory In front their fans.
