Doha, Qatar, February 21, 2021 – African champions Sainey Jawo and Mbye Babou Jarra knows a thing or two about FIVB World Tour. The duo will enter into their second one star world tour when the FIVB one star serve off on Monday in Doha Qatar.
Ranked third behind Qatar and Switzerland going into the competition team captain Sainey Jawo looks optimistic ahead of the event.
It will be competitive. Qatar are dominating in such a strong way, but there are so many good teams out there. But I think it’s something we can do, for sure.”
Jawo and Jarra, are feeling the competitive level of the World Tour as they try to qualify for Tokyo.
The resumption of the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour begins February 23 as 33 teams from 16 countries representing all five continental confederations have entered the US$5,000 Doha Beach Volleyball Cup at the Al Gharrafa Beach Complex.
The team’s participation is fully funded by Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC)
