Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, 5th July 2020. As new recruits arrive in Korea for the 2020/21 Korean–V League, young Mali international has been sent into quarantine after testing positive for the Corona Virus.

The 19-year old opposite attacker arrived in Korea from Mali last week to prepare for the new season.

Noumory Keita of KB Insurance conducted a COVID-19 test and it turns out that the result of his test has shown a positive reaction.

As soon as being told about this, KB Insurance decided to put Keita in isolation.

Also, there are 3 staff members who contacted Keita in person, so they have been doing isolation at their home.

While those 3 staffs have shown negative reactions, the government guidelines demand those people to conduct self-isolation at home for 14 days.

Currently, Keita has been hospitalized in a hospital in Suwon, South Korea.

According to KB Insurance, Keita has not shown any other further symptoms.

Keita was signed from Lower league side OK Niš in the May Korean V-League Virtual Try out.

Keita will be only the third African to sign for a Korean team, after Uganda’s Daudi Okello – Sky Walkers 2019 and Mohammed (Morocco), who played at OK Savings Bank in the 2016-2017 season.
