How did you get started playing Volleyball?
It was way back at Kinaawa High School where I picked interest. I was a netball player but then my sports teacher who was almost coach of all sports invited me to the volleyball court and hence, I fell in love
Do you like playing volleyball or beach volleyball more? Why?
I love playing Volleyball. Game situations are neutral, I mean no wind, sunshine, rain or any other natural happening that can interfere with the flow of the game.
I love watching Beach Volleyball, thou I have never participated in any.
Who would you say are your top influencers in life and in the Sport? Why?
Family and a few friends around me.
Because they understand me and know what am capable of achieving and hence encourage me to work hard.
Do you have any pregame ritual(s) that you do before every game?
None. Am a strong believer in the Lord Jesus. I do a lot of praying before, during, and even after the game.
In fact I dedicate all my games to God as soon as know the fixtures and when the game is expected to be a hard one or a must win for the team I prayer harder🥰
What do you normally do when volleyball is over for the season?
I catch up with family mainly and any other personal business.
What other sports do you play? Why?
For now none. But I did do athletics and netball as my pre sports.
Of all your accomplishments as a professional volleyball player, is there a match or tournament that stands out in your mind? Why?
Yes! The match between Elshams of Egypt and KCB Nkumba at 2019 Africa Club Championship.
My team played the best out of the Egyptians despite the super support they had from the crowd🥰
What are your plans for 5 years down the line?
Like any serious female 😂…..stable family 🥰
What do you think the Uganda Volleyball community needs the most?
Discipline.
Sports without discipline is boring and does not mature
What advice do you have for young athletes in Uganda?
Keep working hard, good results come to those who keep going hard despite the situation.
