How did you get started playing Volleyball?
I played some volleyball in high school but I was more into basketball, when I joined university I watched one volleyball practice session and got interested, from that day on I’ve been playing volleyball.
Do you like playing indoor volleyball or beach volleyball more? Why?
I love playing both Volleyball and beach volleyball they both contribute to making me a complete player.
Volleyball involves teamwork and coordination whereas beach volleyball improves and tests all of your volleyball skill set i.e reception, court and net defense, service, block and attack.
Who would you say are your top influencers in life and in the Sport? Why?
In life, it’s me. I appreciate myself for working hard to become a better person and human being.
In sports it’s Micheal Jordan, Lebron James and Kobe Bryant, they inspire me to always strive for the best work ethic and be a disciplined athlete.
Do you have any pregame ritual(s) that you do before every game?
I make sure I have enough rest, Eat light meals, pray, hydrate myself, Listen to my best music playlist, Think of positive results always.
What do you normally do when volleyball is over for the season?
I do design and branding for Langido Studio.
Relax and Catch-up with family and friends.
What other sports do you play? Why?
I play basketball and football. These are sports I played before playing volleyball.
Of all your accomplishments as a professional volleyball player, is there a match or tournament that stands out in your mind? Why?
Match against Lukoil neftohemic and Hebar in the Bulgarian league. Their team composition was stronger than our team
What are your plans for 5 years down the line?
I will keep working harder and play in a better and stronger league.
What do you think the Uganda Volleyball community needs the most?
Better playing facilities and facilitation of national teams.
What advice do you have for young athletes in Uganda?
They should stay in school, Work hard to be better human beings.
