Netherlands- Belgium, July 9, 2021- The FIVB Women’s U20 World Championship has started in Netherlands and Belgium.

Rwanda lost 0-3 (6-25, 5-25, 6-25) against the very tough hosting Netherlands side in the opening day of pool A in Rotterdam.

The Rwandan team will play against Brazil on Saturday, after the South American nation started by defeating neighbours Argentina.

Egypt on the other side, fall to a strong Italian side 0-3 (15-25, 19-25, 15-25)in pool D, but showed some glimpses of promise in their opening match.

The participating 16 teams are divided into 4 pools of 4, and will play round robin tournament.

The top two teams from the 4 pools will make further pools of 4 (E&F), playing for 1-8 positions, while the bottom 2 teams from each pool will make 2 pools of 4 (G&H) playing for the 9-16 places
