Cairo, Egypt, November 23, 2019- African Volleyball Confederation “CAVB” Zone 5 held it Board of Administration Meeting in Cairo, Egypt on Saturday to discuss the last season’s activity and the future projects of the Zone.
The meeting was attended by CAVB President Dr Amr Elwani, CAVB Vice Presidents Waithaka Kioni, Jean Claude Mopita, Badr Issouf, Zone 5 president Gustave Nkurunziza and the rest of the Board members.
Elwani opened the meeting with a welcome speech to the attendances and pointed out the importance of the zone as the biggest in the continent involving 12 counties. He asked the attendances to maintain the solidarity and working for the sake of volleyball in the continent.
Gustave presented the zonal activities and highlighted the fantastic results of the zonal teams in this year’s All Africa Games in both men and women categories.
The zonal Board defined November 2020 as a suitable time to organise the zonal club championship with representatives from all zonal NFs.
The zonal General Assembly will meet later to declare their situation towards the next CAVB Congress.
